Help finding similar beans to these (German bought) in the UK

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I have a couple of bags of this: https://www.emilo.com/espresso/muenchner-serie/278/muenchner-crema-espresso?number= that I had while I was in Germany. Love the stuff. Sorry that I am quite new to this so not that knowledgable about beans but from my relatively rough knowledge, I like:

  • Mid roasts (can be a bit towards dark but not destroyed)
  • Low acidity
  • Chocolatey notes
  • Currently brewing in Moka/Aeropress until I manage to find an espresso machine secondhand
  • Using a Sage Smart Grinder Pro so whole beans are fine

Now that I'm back in the UK a friend sent me a couple of bags of this very kindly, but for the sake of economy I would like to find something similar in the UK. Would appreciate any help you could give me with recommendations!

Looks like a traditional Italian style espresso blend to me.

Are the beans oily? Is there a roast date on the bag?

Our Twilight Blend is along similar lines  and as above I’d say check out Coffee Compass. One of their mahogany roast blends would likely hit the spot.
