Hi guys,

Thinking of buying The Bloc Party from St Anthony Industries, it's pretty expensive but a little bit of luxury for my coffee corner 😀

What I don't like is the possibility of Import Duty as it looks like the only place I can get it from is the States.  Just wondered if anyone has bought from St Anthony's and if there was import duty, how much? I've had a search through the forum but nothing about really.

Many thanks, Andy

There will be duty to pay although that depends on the tariff code associated with the product. Most coffee hardware is pretty low on duty but that is mostly espresso machines and grinders, accessories may be different.

You will have to pay VAT though and likely a handling charge to the courier for customs clearance. These will likely be more than the duty on a product like this.

I've got a Bloc Party from Saint Anthony Ind. Yes had to pay custom fees. Unfortunately can't be sure eactly how much as I have numerous parcels coming from abroad. Might be around £75 as I do have a payment to DHL for around the time I received it.

MrBaozi, thanks for confirming. So frustrating I was just about happy to pay the cost before realising it could be another 100 quid just to get it here. I'd love to have it on my side but can't spend close to £400 to get it.

Guess I'll start looking at Ocd....
