Hey guys.

When i upgraded to wood handles the steam knob came with a really poor finished chrome insert with two dots in.

Im looking to replace it with smooth chrome.

Here are two pics of it the ribs on the back are about 1"

Any ideas where to obtain such a part??

Cheers jake

They look like standard valve caps, I just measured a couple of chromed plastic ones I have any they are approx 25 mm inner and 42 ish mm outer

Yours looks as if it's a chromed plastic one, these always have the dimples on, probably due to the moulding process.

They also come in chromed brass, see below and I don't believe the metal ones have dimples. If you want a couple...ask @Black Cat Coffee and whenever he next gets a delivery from ACS he can ask them to add a few to the delivery. He would need to ask ACS to order code 8F4131 from DVG to make sure you don't get the plastic one..

You can but the knobs with the plastic insert or metal insert option. It doesn't cost very much more to have the chromed brass inserts...of course it costs a little more now to replace them....

i think B&Q have these (or something very similar) for covering up "screw heads" on cabinets/drawers if i'm not mistaken.

Recipe for success :- take 1 Sage machine, 1 flame, 5 litres of petrol and mix...add more petrol if required.
