For Sale: Olympia Cremina 67

Recommended Posts

For sale an original Olympia Cremina,  manual lever machine in 220v that likely needs little introduction .
Overall it’s in great condition with some small signs of age/patina on the cover on some corners, edges, shown in the photo's at the end for transparency.
Bought to enable my brother in law (Yes and me too😉) to experience manual leverage and pressure profiling without causing too many space issues (it’s tiny) on his espresso journey and to make sure I got a nice shot when I visit.
That journey now continues with an opportunistic acquisition of a compact kitchen and better half friendly spring lever from a member of this forum.
It means that, reluctantly, the Cremina must go to a new home.
I think it’s a 1976 model as indicated by the first 2 digits of the serial number, this is what the previous, clearly careful,  suggested.
It comes with some accessories,  filling jug, funnel, that look original, at the very least 'period' they are In excellent condition and pictured.
It was serviced and had new gaskets in 2017 at Certini New York, the label is still attached. It was a US machine and was fitted with a new 220v element at the same time and brought back to the U.K. It still has the US plug and comes with an adaptor. It’s an easy job to change the plug but we’ve left it original.
It is a lovely machine full working order of course, with super smooth gaskets and produces consistently good espresso with a little care and knowledge, comfortably up to 40g yield in my experience from 14-15g in the filter basket. Steaming power is good. It has the original double spout PF also a colour matched Motta tamper.
There are some 'upgrades' in the form of a later boiler cap with an anti vac valve (original included) and a modern PStat, you can see from the internal picture. It does still have the Original boiler coating and that is stable.
All stainless surfaces are in good condition and there is no chrome flaking. As mentioned it is really nice cosmetically, you can see for yourself. There are some artefacts/quality issues with the closeup pictures of the marks/panels as they've been reduced in size and quality to fit. To be clear the cover panel isn't warped or rusty or anything (perhaps its just my eyes). If a serious buyer is interested I can email higher quality pictures or as mentioned a video tour can be arranged.
Used with Waitrose Lockhills and previously with a similar bottled water.
Collection in person preferred, can ship at a push. Could deliver or meet mid point if not crazy distances, I’m in the middle of the Midlands! Its currently in Exeter until next Saturday.
Welcome to inspect and trial prior to payment at collection, socially distanced of course.
Can do a  WhatsApp or FaceTime view by video.
£900 collected. Shipping by agreement at buyers cost/risk/insurance.
PayPal F&F or bank transfer preferred.

If you can do it for £850 I’ll take it all being well when I view it, I can collect when it’s back in Hinckley and pay by bank transfer when I’m there, no rush. Thanks
