Has anyone managed to successfully paint decent logos onto a switch?

I got fed-up with looking at faded logos and tried my hand at some impressionistic artwork.

I suspect I'll end up going back to blank switches at some point.

I'm very curious about this question as well, and I have asked the question a few times around these parts. According to @FairRecycler who maintains a business of 'servicing' these banks, the answer is "no". I've tried to buy a very thin white permanent marker (0.5mm line) but I can confirm that it does not work because the tip is not sufficiently fine.

I've  scoured the internet for thoughts but as far as I know, nobody has yet reported on any successful method to redo the labels.

It sucks that for such a robust 'industrial' machine, there is no alternative. To give you an idea of how sensitive the labels are, I cleaned a switchbank with electronic contact cleaner, and noticed that a very small amount on a napkin is enough to wipe away the paint.

I've been advised to get in touch with someone doing custom vinyl car stickers - I've never had a chance doing so. I believe this is probably the best way around it.

Either that, or maybe engrave the logos with a dremel?

@Randleog @phario

FYI  The first version of the replacement vinyl switch decals should be with me next week. I've ordered a few sets to try it out, I'm not sure on the price yet (it shouldn't be more than £2/set). Once I installed them, I'll post some photos .

I'm happy to post some to you guys for testing (I'm no it sure how they going to behave in use).

I'm definitely interested! I'm having a go at coming up with my own solution (a longshot).

Glad to hear that. Would you mind giving us a clue? I'm really noosy :)
