Doing my weekly trawl of the Kenyan press searching for useful coffee info I came across these two articles. The first article is of particular interest to me as it is from the area where I spent my teenage years. It produces the best of the best of Kenyan coffees, but currently rarely seen in western markets. In my time (60's/70's) much of it was smuggled OUT of the country!

I hope the idea works  for the Ameru and does not end up nailed by the cartels.

The second article explains the new system of payment to farmers. I hope this works, but I have doubts as to whether the old cartel problems will be removed.
