EARL GREY

Recommended Posts

Apart from my love of coffee, I also love tea specially earl grey tea! Tried a lot of different brands still haven’t found the best.

I would like to know of any other makes either tea bag or loose leaf?

I know there is already an earl grey thread, but trying to make an updated one

I know coffee compass sell loose tea, which I've ordered for my dad as he enjoys a proper cup of tea.

You could also try Atkinsons of Lancaster whose website is www.thecoffeehopper.com

Do some very nice coffee's as well as  a much larger selection of loose teas (Sarah has a soft spot for their Lancaster blend as a daily brew and the Earl Grey is not bad either) in 250g bags so more than reasonable value.

Postage is pretty good too and once this all over, if you ever up in Lancaster, well worth a visit to the main shop as definitely like stepping back in time ( they have a coffee shop almost next door and one in the centre as well) and on my list of roasters to stop into when travelling past for work :) (not too far off the m6)

Hope of help @Joe shorrock

Another Atkinson recommendation for Earl grey. Also recommend their Irish loose leaf, one of my favourite teas.

The MIL only drinks earl grey (with milk 🤷‍♂️) And swears by fortnum and mason bags........well at least since twinnings change the blend and we bought her all sorts from loose leaf speciality blends to rnli tea bags (they were quite good apperently).

she is a “ I brought my own tea bags so just a pot of hot water for me type”

As an aside (hopefully not a hijack) can anyone recommend a good loose leaf Lady Grey equivalent? Don't think they are allowed to call it Lady Grey unless it's Twinings so hard to search for.
