Osmio Zero round 5

Recommended Posts

I went for black to match my Niche - and also because the wife dictated black to match her kitchen.

Mine arrived too and the wife says she doesn't like the taste!
Bit of a funny aftertaste.
I've run 5L through does it need more?

Possibly, might need flushing a couple more times. Pure water does taste funny though. More accurately it doesn't taste of anything and your mouth is the thing that tastes funny. If you've got remineralisation filters in place it shouldn't be too pure.

I am on my third tank so about 8 ltrs through so far i think from what others say it takes several tanks probably the carbon. I think i read you need run the hot water through as well

Got the funny taste here as well, taste like "fresh filter" :D

Used a TDS pen to do a quick estimation.

Tap water 320ppm vs filtered water 71ppm. It's working pretty good.

Just tasted mine cold after third tank   Seems good but perhaps a little carbon taste very minor but definitely hopeful

Notice the water is running a bit faster now as well and long press is very near the ltr mark in a measuring jog

100 c output perhaps nearer 90 c but my thermometer is only a cheap one so not sure.

Is that what it's adding back in?
Mine is 290ppm then 18ppm.

Says on the thing that it's 100 in the boiler so will drop by at least 5C by the time it comes out.

Straight out from 25C tab. I haven't flushed the system yet, still with the first 5L, not sure if that's the reason why.

Yeh it was more of a metallic taste which I think was the new filters.
Tasting better now, but I think I prefer the taste of our normal water, which is actually quite nice (to me at least) but pretty hard at 290tds.

I'm up and running now as well - thanks to all for enabling it.  Fantastic to finally be rid of all the plastic bottles, clearly should have done it ages ago - could not be easier to use and feels pretty much idiot proof which is just how I like it.  Not had a chance yet to play around with mixing some tap water back in to test out the taste differences but for now could not be happier.
