Secondhand Elektra Nino

Recommended Posts

I wondered if anyone could help. I have the option of buying an Elektra Nino for a very good price. I haven't seen it, but I'm aware there are a couple of issues.

First, its apparently been through 300-400kg of coffee. So I'm thinking it might need new burrs. Could I be right? If so, anyone know how much these would set me back? Have struggled to find a website with prices.

Second, the tamper is missing from it. Again, any idea about the price and availability of these spare parts?

Thank you for any help you can give me.

The Nino is in some folks view, a nice looking grinder, but, I had one very briefly and the retention in normal use  was terrible. In a commercial environment this matters not but when you are making a few coffees a day it may well. The tamper on the front is useless if you want to control how you tamp. Get the shot count information and the year of manufacture but curb your enthusiasm and caveat emptor

Thanks, that's really helpful. I might have to give it a miss. The price is good but I'm not able to inspect the burrs so don't really want to take the risk. Thanks again for replying
