Hi folks

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody,

I just joined the forum after lurking for a while and reading lots of useful information!

I live in Edinburgh and I have been thinking for a while now to buy a coffee machine to make my own espresso at home. So far I have only been making coffee using my italian moka that I took with me when I first moved to the UK years ago :)

I recently bought a second hand Gaggia Paros! The machine looks great, very clean and well kept (I did a descaler cycle and the water coming out was crystal clear). I used to have a semi-automatic coffee machine a lot of time ago but I would say this is my first direct experience with these machines and I instantly understood that there is a lot to learn. It seems I opened a door to another hobby.

I can already pull a decent espresso, not the best and not what I am aiming for, but I would say at the same level of some of the cafes around here. I would definitely welcome any feedback or tips regarding the Paros.  Thanks!
