Izzo Alex Mark 2 Steam wand o-ring

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Hope you're surviving social distancing and self isolation. I have ordered a kg of beans, ordered another pint from the milkman,  and am set for the long run.

I also have time to finally try to sort a few things with my machine, set up and procedures...

Firstly... The o-ring on my steam wand went (that seals the tip). I did some reading about o-rings, and found i needed food grade silicon o-rings. I then carefully measured the size of the screw that it fits onto (even got a set of digital callipers), and awaited for ebay to do its magic...

When it arrived I gleefully fitted said o-ring. When I went to use it. it squirted water... I then re measured, and thought maybe I need a slightly thinner one? still no luck. I have now tried three. Am I missing something? Does anyone know what size I should be ordering? Is there anything I should be doing other than simply putting it in place? I did email bella barista a couple of weeks ago as they have izzo replacements, but no luck!
