Parts from a Rancilio Silvia ?

Have just taken delivery of a new Classic 2019.Before throwing out my ten year old Silvia is there any parts I should remove to be used  at a later date as replacements ?

I would buy your Rancilio remainings for spare, they are not compatible with Classic though. Probably only pump can be used.

What's wrong with the Silvia? They are simple machines and fairly easy to repair.

Why not sell your old machine?

Hell if you are feeling charitable just offer it to someone who’s just starting out.

The Peginator,  I never said it was a perfectly good machine.

Mr Binks,  I have since found a neighbour who will take it for spares.

Yeh fair enough. Although as stated, they’re very very repairable! It’s probably why they’re pretty much the two most popular starter machines. I’d always prefer to keep an old device going if it’s still capable of performing but to be fair I don’t know what’s wrong with it, each to their own!
