Large flat burrs - Leeds area

Recommended Posts

After over a year with the magnificent Niche Zero - I'm kinda missing that smack-in-your face fruitiness/brightness I used to experience.

The only time I can seem to get it now is when I visit a 3rd wave shop.

Just to keep my Niche honest, and to see if it's my tastes that have changed (most likely) I was wondering if anyone in the Leeds area with a large flat-burr grinder would be foolish enough to allow me to invite myself round to talk coffee etc and allow me to try my own beans on their kit?

In return I can promise sparkling repartee and reciprocate with an invite to my gaff

What a splendid offer . If you weren't 265 miles & 4 1/2hours drive away I'd pop round just for a natter about coffee bollocks or any other bollocks come to that & bring my Niche, as well as some beans for comparison with yours the flat having moved to pastures new a while back.
As a thought do you have a shop you frequent who might help you in your quest for Nirvana?
Good luck finding it...

It doesn't matter how you get there it's only the end result that matters

Haha I would offer up the Major I've just refurbished if it weren't for the fact I was about to change the bearings... that and the fact I live in the Midlands...

Ha ha shame Mines - sounds a tempting offer. Hopefully we’ll do that sometime.

No shops in particular as I get around a bit - one example that sticks out is a Kenyan I had at Ozone in London

Ah yes, sort of the other way around - good idea. I’ll try that also and report back

Nice one, a major reason I opted for the Niche was the taste tests suggesting there was almost no discernible difference to a large flat. My wife will not be happy if you give me upgraditus!

You are welcome to drop in here if you are in the area, provided you promise to wear a hat to hide that Mullet.

If you can persuade them to give you a few litres of their brew water even better...
