Naked on the Nota

Recommended Posts

I usually prefer to use a spouted pf assembly, but switched over to a naked a couple of days ago. My videoing techniques are notoriously poor, so on this occasion my son helped out!

It is from Tynemouth Coffee Roasters. Called Rocket Fuel and is available for the wonderful price of £15 per kilo bag. They are not so much aimed at the artisan market, more the cafe mob, but all the coffee I have had from them, including their decaf has been spot on

How many days post-roast is that? There's a serious cone on that thing!

They've got it on their website for £20. Gone up?

I am not allowed to reply because I have reached my 3 post per month limit, but if I was allowed to reply, I would say probably 28 days or so post roast (being wholesalers they just have  a stock code and best before rather than a roasted on sticker). They always give me stuff just roasted but I have had 2 month old coffee which was just as good. I pay £15 which is the price on the board in the showroom. Drop them a line and ask them!

Now that you've made a switch for a few pours, do you still prefer spouted? Some folks say the taste is sometimes better or at least different, from a spouted pour? Any merit to that?
