Coffee Notes

Recommended Posts

Does anyone keep some sort of journal or notes on the beans you use?  Apart from the obvious pencil and paper how do you keep a record?  I don't see any apps.......has anyone found a decent note book for this?

With the Niche it would be good to note the grind setting number which would be a reasonable starting point if using the same beans at a later date.

Low tech option here... if I have another bag in the freezer, it would get put under notes on the grinder:

Seems to work fine and I don’t need to find my phone while brewing coffee.

I had a whole thread on Taste Buddy for iPhone, which I found brilliant and still use regularly

I keep a little recipe book, peal off the stickers - keep the date weight grind time and volume for the first few days.   It gives you a rough idea of how long to rest them next time, and a reasonable starting guess.   Helps to decide when you buy again.

I think i like the postit note idea  (i usually use the bag or reuse a hasbean bag), and then have a good book and stuff you won't buy again book.:good:
