LIght roast for espresso

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Can someone suggest some light/medium roast that work well for espresso. The reason I ask is that I tend to love the acidity you get on Kenyan and Ethiopian coffees, specially away from home, but struggle to get them to work as espresso on my home setup. I know part of this is my equipment as my PID gaggia classic and Vario are probably not ideal for this sort of roasts, but it is also my understanding that most don't roast them for espresso. So does anyone has any suggestions on SO or blends that work well on espresso?

Alot of roasters don't roast specifically for  espresso, they don't need to.

Personally am not a fan of Kenyan espresso so.... Ethiopians it is.

If you want something a little easier going try cartwheels mis spent youth blend.

Or a funky single origin try rocko mountain from foundary roasters.
