Combi pod and ground machine

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a home coffee machine the does Nespresso type pods and also takes ground coffee?

Thanks in advance

Keith

I think that going down this route is going to limit your chances of getting equally good cups from the different formats (harder to make good cups from ground coffee with a less controllable, Swiss-Army knife machine), but since you asked, Dualit do one (this is an answer to your question, not a recommendation).

How about the Nespresso for when you are pushed for time & a Cafetiere/French press for ground coffee?

Have you honestly had a fair/good ESE coffee?

No, but I haven't honestly had a decent nespresso either!

Nespresso origin capsules are leagues better than ESE. ESE always tastes dried out to me, has a few ESE that were 'not totally horrible', but they generally need something adding.

I guess it all comes down to whether the OP wants better pod or ground coffee really. Maybe 2 machines is the way forward.

Thanks everyone, was hoping to save space. I have an espresso machine that's great. Other half likes the ease of Nespresso.....so didn't want to double up. Lots to think about!

Do you have a grinder?
