Okay, in my searches, I’ve been offered this for £300. My concerns are that it looks abused. I’ve been assured it works, but what price should I be looking at - and contingency around ‘cleaning up’ costs and potential issues?

He didn’t respond to the sensible questions I asked (how old/when serviced/pics inside/issues etc), but just (verbatim) ‘My friend work perfect ok if not work I’m not sale ok’

Hmm.... 🧐

Anyway, thoughts guys?

I’ve had my Isomac Millenium from new since about 2004, use it nearly every day. I maintain it with the aid of spares from this company.

They’re fairly straightforward to maintain - got my info from the Coffeetime Wikii on how to carry out the various maintenance processes.

Ferrari supply a range of Isomac spares if you decide to take a chance with the machine;

You can also find an @DaveC informative review of the machine on the Bella Barista website - here;

Good luck!

Thanks so much. The guy has agreed at least, to switch it on and film it for me. It’s a start - but I won’t be driving there unless I see it powering up at least. And I’ll take a look inside when I’m there too, should help with the negotiation... 👍🏻

Given up on this one now - the guy is unresponsive again. I have the feeling he has no idea, and wants to sell to someone not asking any questions.

Oh well, I’ll keep searching!
