Starbucks M6 services

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to add these locations as a warning DO NOT STOP FOR A COFFEE AT STARBUCKS

It doesn't matter if your cars on fire, there is a jumbo jet trying to land in front of you on the motorway or you have a dodgy vindaloo that's trying to exit your body

DO NOT STOP AT A STARBUCKS ANYWHERE EVER especially at the Charnock Richard Services on the M6

Today I foolishly gave them a second chance with little else on offer I said to myself 'maybe its got better'

I got a cup of charred burnt bean residue crapped out of a bean to cup machine, the after taste punished me for several hours afterwards, something like a cross between an ashtray and the bottom of your grandmas  budgies cage. - If you are suffering from driver fatigue then of course do stop and have a cup, you will never fall asleep again

I foolishly tried a Mcdonalds Iced Latte at the weekend, never again. I should have taken It back, I'm sure the milk was off. :classic_unsure:

My preferred place to stop for a coffee break is down at M25, Byfleet area.

I saw a label saying that on one of their bean to cup machines, the beans looked like they had been roasted in a crematorium, just the same as the other ones, and tasted like it as well, a bit like Lavazza espresso blend

Is that because it's usually where your car decides to take a break(down)?

The sad thing here is the OP readily went into this lovely coffee shop and while on the phone certainly was not complaining about the standard of the coffee, he actually said it was OK!

When on the M6 hot-foot it to Westmoreland - it may be 100s of miles out of the way for you, but well worth it!

We need a list of decent coffee stops near motorway junctions.
