Gaggia Viva. Good place to start?

Recommended Posts

Hi. I'm trying to get away from my tassimo machine.

Wondering if a gaggia Viva is a good place to start? As I like the price..

Only problem I can see, is I'd like to be able to fit a bigger cup under for Americanos.

And ideas would be great.

The most important thing to make good Espresso is good quality freshly ground beans, with a consistent fine grind.

To achieve that you will need a grinder,   If you are on a budget a manual grinder will probably be your only option.

As for coffee machine, my personal recommendation would be to get a Second hand Gaggia classic.  There are usually a few that come up for sale here, they are excellent starter  machines.

Gear:   Gaggia Classic, La Pavoni Euopiccola, Niche zero grinder.

My recommendation is the sage duo temp pro with a mignon grinder . Second hand from on here if available

you will make some lovely coffee with that combo
