Aergrind with Metal Lid

Recommended Posts

For sale is my Aergrind which has had very little use. Its got the upgraded metal lid, band for arm and also a spare band and (probably) spare O-rings but these are pennies anyway if I cant find them.

Great compact grinder but just doesnt get the use it deserves.

Asking £80 posted.

Can you grind fine enough for espresso with this grinder?

Thanks

I've honestly never tried. It has the same 38mm burrs as the feld but a shorter crank arm so while the burrs are capable I think it will be harder to do. I also have a feld2 for sale if you're interested?

James Hoffman recently did a review on a load of high end hand hand grinders including this one, which is easy to find on youtube. He said this can do espresso but can be fiddly to dial in and keep dialled in. For what it's worth I have a Feld2 and although I don't find the settings at all problematic, when I've ground fine for aeropresso experiments it's been real hard work, although the results seem good. Can only imagine it being harder on the aergrind what with the shorter arm and smaller body, but maybe @np123 can be more help there as he has both?

Edit: just seen the previous post saying pretty similar to me so ignore anything that comes up twice!

Honestly- yes. It's hard work though and takes a bit of the enjoyment out of it. Perfect grinder for our over or courser grinding (e.g. Aeropress at work, etc).

Great buy at a great price if you ask me (you didnt!)

Andy
