Burner Issue

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I have been having this issue where the burner panel does not response to the change in percent burner that I input on the control panel.

For instance, the a 100% burner would look like 50% burner, and I lost control of the burner. Also, I have this flickering issue on the burner too. I have attached a video for your reference.

My initial thought was there something wrong with the gas supply, however, the second roaster works just fine.

Any thoughts on this?

I think I would be contacting Giesen in Holland about the problem.

I do not know anything about roasters. BUT on gas cookers and boilers the gas supply volume is / can be controlled by a diaphragm valve with a

pin with a tapered point. If the pin connected to the diaphragm ( which is in contact with the gas) gets dirty / sticky it can cause non smooth control.

The diaphragm can also become tired and flabby giving rise to fluctuations

It may respond to cleaning the pin and re-lubricating.

As my first comment I do not know the workings of the roaster and much of this could be controlled electronically.
