Any homebrewers in here?

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I've done a bit. Not a great deal. Mainly extract and BIAB. Made some tasty beers mind...

I'm an on and off homebrewer.

Made a 5.4% ruby mild and a stout in November (40L of each) and I'm planning on a lager to take advantage of the cooler weather.

Ive brewed all grain for the last 10 years after being underwhelmed with the results from kit brewing.

There are a couple of brewing threads in this section.

a grinder a lever and some beans

Glad to hear it. Usually brew stouts or IPAs, depending on which season we're in, stout season at the moment obviously. Lager in this weather sounds a good shout!

Originally a 'Tetley's Bitterman' until Carlsberg ripped it up and away out of Leeds to die. Really a died in the wool real ale lover, but IPAs over the last few years have amazingly got me interested in keg beers. More often than not you'll find me with a Guinness in hand at my local

Have made on all grain IPA in last 12 months to the Brew Dog punk recipe, deceptively strong but darker than I expected, and massive hops in your face.

Spent most the last two years or so gathering 'wild' apples and pressing for cider. This year 2018/19 went with no introduced yeast and let the skins provide the bugs...let it go all the way through the sugars regrettably so it has a certain dryness to it at the moment. Certainly no off flavours but it raises an eyebrow on tasting!!!
