Happy New year to everyone . Santa has been and I have received a Rok coffee maker.Very pleased. In other machines I have been using Sumatra Mandheling and Brazilian yellow Catui. With the Rok I would like to try different. Do I use espresso or fine grind for good crema with the Rok? I realise grinding my own bean is good and I am waiting for a Rok hand grinder. I have used Redber and I know they do taster packs. It all comes down to the grind , espresso or fine. Thanks.

Espresso grind is fine to start.

Dont worry too much about the crema, it will be harder to get this with the Rok but isn't an indicator of taste

If you want to get the best from the Rok pre heat everything , the PF the water reservoir .

It makes an espresso like drink somewhere between the espresso and aeropress .

Hi.

Hope you enjoy the ROK, I would agree heat everything by filling and leaving with boiling water in for a bit before use, and I would say fill to the brim with water when ready to press and just force through the amount of coffee you want as the water rather than air in the headspace will provide more pressure.
