Airscape through BB

Recommended Posts

Righty ho......as you may have seen, Evac are available through TK Max at a knockdown price. I would ask you to think why, and whilst not knocking them I do own an AIrscape and can say how nice it is. I have been talking to BB and post a link to the range. As an example. If you take this size container as an example, it is £27.95 for a medium size brushed steel. if someone is prepared to buy 6 of them, then the price is reduced by 30% to £19.57 plus postage. These will be delivered in one box to one recipient. This would give the chance to network amongst local friends to make a good saving.

Alternately, although not confirmed and subject to stock arriving sometime in November, Claudette might issue a 10% discount voucher so that either overseas customers or people who cannot organise localised group buys can still be included.

A few Evac are available in my local TK Max - but don't seem to be everywhere - so it's a lottery whether you find one.

I should add, if anyone wants to take advantage of this 30% offer, please pm me and I will explain exactly how to do it. I would have thought this would appeal to a few people for certain!

It is a great offer! The only reason I am not stepping in to buy/pack/distribute is because I don’t actually need an Airscape ! I am sure if someone needs a couple themselves then it wouldn’t be difficult to sell the other 4 on, with the fantastic discount, to forum members.

Do they need to be 6 identical Dave or can we mix and match?

I’ve seen a few on here from Edinburgh / Glasgow - anyone interested in a local buy?

A bit more info. If you want a mini group buy, inform me and I will tell Claudette. The rules are that the 6 containers must be the same size and delivered to one address in order to qualify for 30% discount.

Anyone local to Herefordshire patch interested as I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on a couple medium or large. Or even the ceramic mediums.

I’d be interested in a small ceramic that holds 250g beans approx.

Will the 6 come within their own boxes ready to ship straight out?

If so, and there are another 5 that are interested in the same size I would be willing to take delivery and then post them out. People could choose whatever postage they wanted. I’d send them via Royal Mail.

Nope, they will come wrapped in bubble wrap in one box. You will need to organise your own boxes etc

I think the best thing to do, is state what you want, where you live then others can reply with quote to that person, rather than just expressing an interest. I think the best ones to go for are the medium which hold 500 gms. The plunger goes all the way down so there is no advantage in buying smaller. If you buy 250 bags they fit into the 500 no problem, but not the there way around!

Okay. I haven’t got any packaging or boxes at home so unfortunately it won’t be possible for me to get them in and send them out, otherwise I would have done.

If anyone can accommodate this then I would be interested in 1 Medium (Ceramic White preferably).

Forgot to add, I’m in Berkshire.

I'd like to have 2 medium. I can repack and redeliver for other 2 or 3 members, no problem. I live in Coventry.

I’d be interested in a SS medium (could take 2) if no others are interested. I could also collect from Coventry, or pay additional, for postage.

I am interested in getting the ceramic small ones (to save space and stack them, as I never buy beans of more than 250g). Is it possible to mix and match colors when ordering 6 small ceramic ones?

A quick question, before I confirm my interest.... Mrs Aoxomoxoa has quite arthritic fingers so she struggles, for example, with prising open the seal on the bags that most roasters use (otherwise I'd just stick with these bags as the beans stay fresh for quite long enough). So, the question is whether operating the airscape vacuum gubbins requires much finger strength or dexterity?

Any thoughts?

Some resistance when pulling out the inner lid due to vacuum but it's pretty gentle. Handle folds flat inside against the inner lid and has to be lifted up to be able to remove the lid - this might prove a bit more challenging dexterity-wise.
