First shot pulled with bottomless PF on my Silvia

Recommended Posts

Well done , not the car crash of my first shots. How did it taste?

I write a blog, it's nothing to do with coffee ...

Yours looks a pretty clean pour, mine has sporting streams at angles, making a bit of a mess!

I grind into my pf, whisk with a mini whisk, tap to level once, and finally, tamp. Is it worth getting something like the ocd distributor?

This looks to me like obvious channelling!

When you say you use a whisk, does it still have the rounded end ? IF it does this can be part of your problem as it does not get into the corners of the basket to break up any small clumps.

Not any more! I cut them off a week or so ago, so I believe it is reaching the corners fine.
