Pointless coffee trip to London - where to visit?

Recommended Posts

There's a huge thread running on London in the find a coffeeshop sub forum.

The 'Best Coffee' app and map are very worthwhile for finding good shops as there are just so many now in London.

Origin inside the British Library

And ask for Antonio and chat to him about what Origin do, their approach to coffee and roasting and so on.

Then pop round the back of Kings Cross to Granary Square and nip into Caravan and go to the brew bar at the back, if you just want a coffee. It would be worth investing in the speciality coffee map of London or the new edition of the London Coffee Guide or look at the mighty European Coffee Trip map of London and plan your route. You need a week, really. Shame you couldn't have timed a visit to coincide with the coffee festival.

I did just that not long time ago. Visited about 6 roasters/coffee shops. Head was buzzing :) I can recommend Origin on 65 Charlotte Road, EC2A 2PE. I liked them most. I had Colombia Las Mingas (washed caturra) which was a treat. The guy there (so sorry did not get his name) was just great. The place is great. And I enjoyed the food too. I could write several paragrpahs about how great it was :)

other places were cool too, but Origin just won we over that day.
