LSOL October - Round Hill Roastery

Recommended Posts

Mine arrived too and as already mentioned the presentation and packing is great. Already opened it up and made a delicious AP. Looking forward to trying more recipes and combos over the coming weeks.

I’m pretty useless at identifying flavours etc but I’m pretty sure I’m getting blueberry and floral...

Two bags of pink goodness just arrived here.

Top marks for the packaging - even the tape sealing the cardboard box was perfectly aligned

Looking forward to these

Is that a cheeky jab at our superb organisational skills?

I missed this!!

When is the next LSOL usually open?

It'll open in January but we're pretty much at capacity at the moment. We'll see if anyone drops out.

Just seen mine when I got home. Blue and pink bags.. Opened them both for a sniff.... Made a V60, and it's sat next to me cooling down. Think I should've ground a bit finer as I'm getting notes of paracetamol, still it smells nice. Might sink it and do another..

Great packaging by the way.

That teapot looks like an Emma Bridgewater?

The pink packaging is certainly striking.

Made one of each this morning. Espresso in the Moka for breakfast and filter in the V60 for the road. Just finished the V60 and enjoying it so far.

Are we allowed to guess the origin? I opened the bag and there was a distinct smell. I am enjoying a Kalita Wave brew right now and I’d be surprised if my guess was wrong. :)

Mr Confident!!

The competition from last month has rolled over to this month, we will shortly be posting full instructions on how to enter - but you'll be expected to PM me and FBSlim your official guess. Feel free to post up here your thoughts (or subversion tactics!!), but remember it may or may not increase/reduce your chances of winning!!

Give us your tasting notes!! I'm curious to see how it changes as it rests

I had a first brew of this in the cafe yesterday. Whether it was a fluke or what I don’t know but I haven’t enjoyed someone else’s coffee this much for quite some time. Really looking forward to getting stuck into it again today. Just delicious.

Got mine yesterday. Beautiful packaging and the discount is a nice touch. Won't start on the filter ones for a couple of days so will try to avoid reading people's tasting notes until then.

Thanks as always for organising.

Could I ask - Why?

i.e. What clues etc led you to that ? (assuming it's not that you read it in post 1)

There is a fine line between "Hobby" and "Manic Obsession"

First brew using Bonavita ceramic dripper this morning. 15g to 250ml, 20 second bloom with 30ml of water then one long pour.

This is wonderful: so fresh and juicy with berry and citrus notes to the fore. I know what my instinctive origin guess is but will keep it quiet!
