Brew temp thermometer e61

Recommended Posts

Hi

How did these get on? Has anyone compared them to Eric's?

Or the guy on ebai in Slovakia?

Realising HX Technika is hard to know the temperature and seeking thermometer knowledge!

Another one interested in the outcome, I came across the same one when looking for the Eric version, which now looks like close to 200usd with import tax,

Thanks for that, might just press the button on one today

Go for it Mark

Really get the best out of your Giotto. Even if you just use it for a few months to really understand the cooling flush required and rebound time - then take it off again.

Fitted one of these today, really interesting to see the temperatures.

I have my PID set to 121C which should be 95.1C at the group, according to the Rocket manual.

Am I correct in thinking that my cooling flush should be aiming to simply get rid of the flashing water, and then when I run my shot the thermometer should stay at around 95.1 for the duration of the shot? What should the thermometer read before starting the shot?

And for recovery times, I will know I've left it long enough if my second shot also stabilises at 95.1, and if it's cooler than this I've not left it long enough to rebound?

If I can get to these parameters then in future I can note what the thermometer reads when flushing and know what temperature to aim for to yield my 95.1 shot temp.
