Anyone bought an Aeropress from Amazon?

Recommended Posts

Quick question for those who have - my wife ordered one with the steel filter as a Christmas present for her mother. What she received was a sealed Aeropress box, containing 350 filters but there's no mention of the steel filter anywhere, and she doesn't want to open the box to check.

Anyone here ordered one with the steel filter, and if so, was it in the box or supplied separately?

Thanks :)

It's possible they opened the box & put the metal filter inside. I didn't get mine from amazon (not even sure they sold them at the time) but the box was easily resealable. Just pull the little tab out of the flap with something like a nail file or letter opener.

Yep, I've just asked her to send me the link to what she actually ordered. It's an Amazon store that she bought from, but they make the claim that "Aeropress now comes with a steel filter", which is dubious, considering the box states "includes 350 paper filters".

But anyway, according to reviews on that specific item, the steel filter is packaged in the box. So mother-in-law should be no less happy with her Christmas present than she normally is. I wouldn't have thought that was actually possible anyway, but she still manages to surprise me every year :)
