HP Elitebook 8440P [10+ available]

Recommended Posts

HP Elitebook 8440P laptops in used condition. Still fully functional and run Windows 10 and Linux Mint Cinnamon surprisingly well. I have over 10 of these to sell.

All will be configured with 4GB of RAM but this is upgradeable to 8GB. All have 1st gen Intel i5 520M mobile CPUs that are still very capable, even compared to modern Celeron CPUs. Very solidly built compared to modern plastic rubbish. I'd say battery life is just over 2 hours depending on OS installed and whether SSD or HDD.

They currently have 260GB HDDs but I can put 120GB SSDs in them for additional cost. I can also pre-load Windows 10 Pro OEM or Linux Mint.

Base model with 4GB RAM = £95

Model with 4GB RAM and 120GB SSD with Windows 10 Pro pre-loaded = £120

Price includes postage and paypal fees.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

Around 5 years old. Some have had very little use in that time. They used to be rentals at a university library. I think I've got 14 of them and all still work perfectly.

Stuff was built to last back then.

Just realised this isn't in the right section. Any admins please feel free to move to non-coffee-related items for sale.

@Jon any good for you? They are really solid machines. You can send it back if you aren't happy.

Don't suppose they have a serial port ??

Unfortunately not. They have eSATA, some little rectangular one that I'm not sure what it does then VGA and displayport.

I read signatures btw ;)

Shame as I could have upgraded my 'field' machine

I'm sort of interested in one or two. Let me have a think.
