Gaggia Cubika - Water not coming through non solenoid valve

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a Gaggia Cubika machine. The water stopped coming through the main head unit but still came through the steam outlet so I descaled the machine but it didn't change anything. I took the non solenoid valve out and tried the machine again without it in place and water came through both the head unit and the steam nozzle as normal. I ordered a new valve and fitted it and again no water comes through but if you take it out water flows freely. It's like there isn't sufficient pressure to push the spring in the valve for the water to flow through it???

Has anyone had this problem before and can guide me to what the fix might be????

Many thanks

Harry

Could be the OPV valve opening at too low a pressure or sticking partially open? When no water comes through the group head do you see water being retuned to the tank from the hose coming from the OPV?
