Samsung NX300 interchangeable lens camera + lenses

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I used to have a lovely Panasonic GF-1 which got stolen and the insurance company were very kind and replaced it with a Samsung NX300. However, it's not really for me and I've decided to stick with my DSLR for now.

So, I'm trying to sell off this Samsung kit:

Samsung NX300 - 20MP APS-C sensor, hybrid (contrast and phase detect) AF, 3.3" AMOLED touch screen, Wi-Fi connectivity and all the usual bells and whistles. It comes bundled with a 20-50mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. The excellent DPReview.com website have a brief review on the camera here.

It's fully boxed with all the original parts including the little hot shoe mounted flash gun and an unopened copy of Adobe Lightroom. I'm looking for £375 for it. Pictures below:

The whole thin is in it's orignal box and is barely used. You'd bot be able to tell it wasn't brand new apart from the opened security seals.

The insurance company also gave me a 20mm f/2.0 lens to replace the Panasinic 20mm f/1.7 I had stolen. I'd be happy to bundle this in with the camera or sell it separately.

It's also fully boxed and in brand new condition. I'm after £160 for this.

Interested in the lens. Is it 4/3s?

No, it's all Samsung "NX"fit.

It's a nice lens though and works nicely paired with the Samsung camera. No good if you're already a 4/3 user though.

Ah right. I've got a 4/3s and was after a smaller, wider angle lens.

See if you can get your hands on a 20mm f/1.7. It's a brilliant lens and the main reason I bought the GF1 in the first place. 40mm equiv on 4/3 and it's lovely and sharp, even pretty wide open. I've even used it when photographing weddings and a couple of car launches for Aston Martin - it's easily good enough for that sort of work. Should be able to pick up a nice one for around £100 used.

Actually, if people want to see some examples of pictures taken with this camera, have a look at the photos in this blog post.

They're all down-sampled to only 1000 pixels on their longest sides but they'll give you an idea of the out of camera JPEGs. These were shot and transferred directly to my phone via wi-fi and then uploaded so there's been no retouching at all.

Yeah my mate has one and it is a cracker. Got the 50mm 1.4 but it's a bit tight at times.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of 50mm when you're not using full frame - it's an awkward focal length. I tend to use 35mm and 85mm primes mostly.

Have the Panasonic 20mm 1.7 - incredibly sharp. The 45mm macro is also something else. Think the 4/3 format's size and portability outweigh any downsides.
