Coffee/Tea Machine for the work place

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a preferred make/brand of a self service commercial coffee/tea machine for a work place.

We currently have 3 machines that use rectangular shaped pods with different varieties of coffee and a couple of teas. The machines produce OK coffee and are quite popular, but as they are up for replacement in the next 6 months, I'm interested in looking at a more environmentally friendly alternative (less plastic waste). I was thinking about a bean to cup machine.

There are about 120 of us in the office and the machines get quite a lot of use – can anyone suggest anything or somewhere to start looking?

Hi Rachel

Is there a water supply near where the machines will be placed?

How many cups per day roughly do you and your team consume?

Hi Rachel,

After spending 19 years directly in the branded espresso industry, and having spent the last 3 of these years selling fresh espresso systems and providing proven and tested solutions directly into the corporate world, can I suggest you look at the German brand of WMF and their Presto or Bistro bean to cup models in particular. These systems not only uses fresh espresso beans and fresh milk, it is also the most customer friendly system out there perfectly suited to a self-service corporate or office environment. It's probably also worth mentioning that is the only system I have worked with that truly is reliable and I have numerous customers who will vouch for this if you need to speak to them. If you would like any further info or help, don't hesitate in dropping me a line and I can send you a link to more information that will give you a better insight to this system.

Good Morning Rachel,

I would second what uecoffeeroasters says, the WMF machines are in a class of their own especially when it comes to the milk cleaning side which causes most of the breakdowns with other bean to cup machines. You could also have a look at the Franke Evolution but it may be an overkill as its more aimed at 2/300 cups per day. I would start with the WMF Presto, We have a full range of Franke and WMF machines if you were any near MK19 and wanted a demo.
