  1. Good Morning All, Over the past few weeks I have been speaking to various people on this forum and decided its time to upgrade. After debating wether to go with the Rocket (more hand on) or the Sage Oracle (Super Automatic) I have decided to go with the Sage Oracle. So.... I now have for sale my beloved Sage Barista Express. I would much rather sell it on here as apposed to eBay as I know you all appreciate good coffee machines and that we all look after our kit much more than the average Joe! Everything that came with my Express is going including the additional Knock Box I bought

Should I stick to buying a new one instead ? They are advertised as £100 cheaper then a new one but with a one year warranty instead of two. cslogg

  4. It's often a confusing subject and I think in the coffee world there seems to be a variety of approaches to the sort of high value equipment we purchase. I've given this considerable thought before posting because I wanted to get things clear in my mind: I have always advised any company have consulted for to offer a transferable warranty that goes with the product, after all it's the product that has the warranty, not the purchaser. In a sense to me it makes no difference if someone purchases it then sells it on and sells it on as long as the warranty conditions have been complied with.
  5. Hi all, Considering calling Sage up to potentially sort this under warranty - anybody have any experience of this? Issues I'm experiencing: If it's not a warm day, then when the machine is getting up to temperature, it will cut the power 2-3 times. I switch it back on at the circuit breaker and eventually it gets to temperature and works When I press the button to bring water through the group head, it makes an horrendous sound (see video) but does not seem to affect functioning of machine.   6. So my hand grinder packed up. It cost me £10 on amazon and was a pretty good grind for costa rican beans (hasbean) but it was a PITA to use and yesturday during grinding something snapped and now it just goes round and doesn't grind :/ I could just buy another but...hassle. It lasted over a year so happy with that! I like the idea of an electric grinder but I don't want to sacrifice grind quality. Nor do I want a doser type one...on demand.   7. Last weekend my SDB started to hiss when it was filling the boilers. Monday it started to leak----badly. So a quick email to Claire at Sage. "No problem, will send a technician to look into it. When is good for you?" I work from home on Mondays and Fridays so I told her any Monday or Friday and expected a long wait. Nope, technician scheduled for today. Four days after fault reported.   8. I've got a leaky steam wand in my Saeco Odeo Giro Plus which is just about to go out of warranty at the end of August. You wouldn't believe the hassle i've had trying to get Gaggia to fix it, originally i phoned them on the 15th July only to be told their computer systems were down and to phone back on the 20th.   9. Hey Coffee People I just unpacked my new Silvia and went through the advised steps when first starting up. The machine produces warm water but the orange light doesn't turn on. As far as I understand, it should turn on when the boiler is heating up, which is certainly the case when the machine is cold. Do you have any advice for this case? Love, driblem
  10. For sale having recently purchased as a set with the Appartamento. I've decided to stick with the Mazzer I also have. This originally came from Bella Barista and has warranty remaining till 26/03/19.   11. Hi all. Would like some advice from people who have better experience on these matters. I'am of writing this wining a eBay on a Sage Duo Temp Pro. The seller states it's only been used 4 times and from what I can see in the photo's it's almost mint(but take anything with a pinch of salt). I know Sage is not everyone's cup of tea here but if the standard 2 year warranty is not there or cannot be moved over to me does anyone know of a good Warranty provider that will cover the SDTP for up to 4 years(max) and will honour their warranty if a break down occurs.   12. Hi all, I'm new to the Coffee Forums and absolutely love coffee. I've decided to buy my first reasonable starter machine and have decided on the Gaggia Classic. However, with Gaggia Uk (or parent company) having problems, is it advisable buying one at the moment and will it have a warranty?   13. Hi all. I would be really grateful of any advice that could be offered. We've had a Silvia for almost a couple of years and have loved using it. A couple of weeks ago I noticed the electricity around our home wasn't working one morning because an RCD on the house fuse box had tripped. After a bit of investigation I discovered the culprit was the coffee machine. And, significantly, it was tripping the RCD without even having to be turned on.   14. Will the warranty be void on a Expobar Brewtus IV if I take the case off to see if I have a leak? I am a bit worried that as I took the casing off to take some photos I inadvertently voided the warranty. I received the machine 2 weeks ago and used it a few times (weekends), and twice now I have noticed a little bit of water under the machine at the back.
