  1. Greetings friends, I am glad to see a gathering of individual with the same interest as myself. My fascination with coffee started seven years ago when I first learned about the "crema". How can espresso extracted from beans alone, result in this color with no milk added. Learning about specialty coffee, and tasting the notes of Chemix extraction from a freshly roasted Woti Kongas, made office coffee taste like dirt. Nespresso is no longer drinkable after trying professionally pulled shots from a Rocket. it was both a blessing and a curse. Now, first thing I look for before moving to a new place is good coffee. I am looking forward to learn more, get to meet more companions who share the love, and hopefully taste more
  2. Hi all, Thought we'd share one of Adams+Russell's new specialty coffees with you. It's an exceptional single plantation coffee from Honduras. Organic, Fairtrade and the result of direct trade through Project 121. It's called Honduras El Bambu Copan, and we only expect around 5 coffee bags from the farmer this year. It tastes really good and is well worth a try. You can find a bit more information on the product page (link above), but feel free to ask any questions. Cheers

  4. Just a quick note to introduce myself as a newbie to the forum. I am a Brit living in Honduras and together with my friends have started a coffee exportation business, marketing and selling high end specialty coffees, as green bean, from Honduras. This is our first year and we are shipping to Canada BC. from where we will distribute via direct and on-line sales. But we are looking at other markets, like the UK. If anyone has info of importing Green bean coffee into the UK ( and hence EU ) and or roasted coffee as well I would appreciate any info you can provide or at least pointers to what regulatory requirements are needed. Our company is called Seis Cielo ( which means six skies / heavens ) you can review us via FB https://www.facebook.com/honduran.coffee.lover/ under the heading Seis Cielo Specialty coffees. We are a few weeks away from opening for business ( yes we are that new ) so bare with us. But would love to have any feed back suggestions, Ideas of how we can bring our products to market.
  5. Based on feedback we received from coffee lovers and enthusiasts across the UK on the Boilbrew this winter (2019), led to the development of the new Boilbrew 2.0 ! We took your, (and James Hoffmann's) feedback to heart, took Boilbrew off the market and went back to the drawing board ! We launched the new Boilbrew last month, and so far the feedback has been great, and since James hasn't jumped on creating a new product review yet, I though I could share it with you here myself ! What are the added features on the new Boilbrew? Stainless steel filter Lid Measuring scoop (6 gram) Cleaning brush Cotton pouch These features has taken Boilbrew to new heights when it comes to coffee brewing. We are now taking our next step on our UK based StartUp journey. Collaboration with Coffee Shops ! Looking for Coffee Shop Partners in the UK The feedback after adding the new features has been really good, so we are now looking to collaborate with UK based coffee shops to offer Boilbrew to more people in need! We offer the new Boilbrew at boilbrew.com for £24.99 with free UK shipping. For small bulk orders, we are offering good discounted prices ! At the moment (15th July 2019), we are looking for 45 Coffee Shops across the United Kingdom. Check out https://boilbrew.com/coffee-shop-partners-uk/ if you are interested, or know someone who might be interested. Big thanks to everyone who have helped us so far ! Feedback from members of UK Coffee Forum has been super valuable and helpful. As a thank you, we are now offering UK Coffee Forum Members 20% discount and free UK shipping on orders from boilbrew.com with the use of the code: UKCF-SUMMER2019 until 31st August 2019 ! 6. Hello everyone, I hope I'm not breaking any rules here by posting this. Just hoping to get some answers from members who are passionate about coffee. About two years ago, I got the idea of starting a speciality coffee cart in my campus as a freshman thereby bringing speciality coffee to Nigeria. For someone like me living in a country where the coffee culture is almost non-existent and where majority of coffee consumers drink instant coffee. I felt we were missing out on this beautiful coffee culture the rest of the world has and saw coffee as a means of creating a new cultural wave here and connecting us with the rest of the world. I started out by reading all I can about coffee from the beans to brewing methods to equipments down to actually running a coffee shop. After been part of many coffee forums and learning behind the scenes from everyone, I feel so connected with those who share this cup daily (weird for someone who hasn't had a drip coffee yet :) ). So to begin my coffeeprenuer journey, what and what should I know about running a coffee cart, what should I expect? How should I approach this as I can't seem to walk 5miles to ChrisCoffee to get a new espresso machine or order some V60 filters from Amazon and get it the next day or even find a roaster without travelling between 3 states. So the big question, what would you do if you are in my shoes with all these hurdles to cross and how would you pull this off? Thank you for your time.
  7. I'm going to Bilbao and Northern Spain (West of Bilbao) for a family holiday. Can anyone recommend any good cafes or places to buy good quality coffee beans. I see that there are some recommended places in San Sebastian, but we aren't going in that direction.
