Couldn't resist the chance to buy£120 Super dooper Jolly the other day as a 50th birthday present to myself. The item was listed on ebay and spotted by other forum members - my thanks - I put in an offer of £120 inc postage which was accepted - to my surprise they sent it 1st class parcel force and it arrived today, less than 48hrs after purchase as a cost of £23 postage to the vendors! As with all things ebay its a case of it wont be quite as good as the pictures show - but with planning to refurb it I was ready for any issue, I spent last night reading up on bearing replacement and re

It's probably a stupid thing to have done but I've bought a Little gem for home use. It could be used straight away as-is but would benefit from a strip down, de-scale and clean, ideally with paint to the frame. Stupid, because of the volume of use it will likely get each time, but it's likely to reside out of the house as I plan to tidy the garage and so spend more time in there on other hobbies, so having a coffee machine in an enclosure didn't seem such a wild idea at the time. So, once garage cleared a bit I'll start work on the little gem and get the pics loaded.

Hi Guys, Apologies if something similar has already been discussed somewhere, I had a look but couldn't see anything suitable. I am very new to the world of coffee. I started out buying instant coffee, then real bean instant and now I have taken my first step in real coffee by purchasing a 2nd hand Gaggia Classic. I am familiar with how they work and all the steps I need to take as my friend has one but I am getting some annoying issues with mine. As it is 2nd hand I am sure that some parts need changing (group gasket etc.) but I was wondering if I listed my issues if someone

Hi all, been a while since we posted some refurb work we've done, Recently got a 2 Group MyWay Lever Machine in for a Refurb and here is a link to the progress pics... https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.531049936913082.123340.144400048911408&type=1 The ammount of scale removed from this machine was surprising but after some elbow grease we have revived this lovely machine back to its former glory...

Hi, New to the forum and this is a bit of an open ended question. How much should be the max paid for a second hand Classic considering that you can get a new one for £190? Is there any other benefits apart from cost to buying second hand? Ahh, that's 2 questions. I have tried reading through the forums and now seem further away from buying than when I started . I would like to try and buy one this week if I can, I have sent a few mails to some of the sellers on ebay asking if they would consider a buy it now, I think I have some sort of ocd. I need a coffee??

Some may remember me mentioning an astoria divina at work unused, at the end of last week they decided to have it refurbed to go in the canteen at our new premesis, but on finding out how much a professional service would cost they changed their mind, but knowing that I've taken an interest they have asked if I might like to have a crack at it, and I would So far I know it needs a damn good descale and clean, new brew head gaskets and one of the conrol panels need replacing, probably new shower screens too but is there anything else I should be on the lookout for, especially given that it
