  1. I am considering a product to turn a Gaggia Classic into a high-tech, internet connected, touch-screen IOT device. I would like to make a kit which you can buy to easily retrofit your pre-2015 machine. It would require only some re-wiring and plumbing and not significantly change the machine's external appearance. Possible ideas/features: Replace the front switch module with a box containing a powerful microcrontroller and a full-colour touchscreen interface with Wifi connectivity - no cutting, no external boxes!!! Full PID temperature control Full closed-loop pressur
  2. This looks pretty cool More info and stolen from here http://www.home-barista.com/espresso-machines/gaggia-classic-with-raspberry-pi-android-t37863.html#p428840
  3. Been thinking of grabbing a Rasberry PI and turning it into some kind of Media device. At the minute i use the Xbox 360 for BBC Iplayer, Netflix, 4OD and portable drive with films & music on. Ideally would like to set up a Raspberry with HDMI output, not sure what you can install on these but was thinking it would be good to have all the apps i used on the 360 plus some internet radio, web browsing with flash., maybe even XBMC? So has anybody played with these, or even set one up as a media device, do i need to do anything fancy, minimum spec? Thanks

Gonna do some serious reading, hope this is of interest http://brewpi.com/ As a concept this seems to be an excellent custom PID solution, there is a site where all the bits you mi
  5. Note 2015 New Gaggia Classic models have no solenoid and as of yet , a method for OPV has not been found Congratulations!! Think of the soundtrack to ‘Titanic’, because you’re currently standing on the bow of a small boat, arms outstretched, bound for the new and exciting world of Coffee! In case you haven’t already realised, www.coffeeforums.co.uk is fantastic. The people on here are sooo helpful and friendly, and in no time at all you’ll be making great espresso. You’ll also probably soon want to get into brewed coffee, but let’s leave that to one side for now and focus on hel
