  1. Hi all, a bit short notice but it looks like I'll be in central Oxford all day tomorrow so was wondering where I might get a great coffee (Espresso only drinker btw). So if you have any recommendations it would be great if you could post them. Thanks !
  2. Has anyone tried Columbia Coffee Roasters, that has recently moved from Wheatley to the Covered Market in Oxford? https://www.colombiacoffeeroasters.com/
  3. Wanted to recommend missing bean in Cowley area in Oxford. Went there with the misses last week after a holiday in Melbourne and thought the lattes and flat whites were on par (if not better) than Australia. They have a good selection of different beans to try and spent ages talking to me about them. They obviously have a passion for coffee.
  4. Heading towards Oxford tomorrow and wondered if anyone had recommendations of decent coffee houses in the area? I got as far as The Missing Bean from the UK Good Coffee Map Cheers Spence
  5. Apologies if this has been asked a million times before. Going to take my love of coffee up a notch from my trusty moka pot to a Gaggia Classic and burr grinder. I currently get Italian roast from Cardews in Oxford and have signed up for an introductory offer with Pact coffee. I like a bitter taste with chocolate and nut notes, but would definitely like to expand my tastes to something different. Any recommendations for for beans and/or where to buy from?
  6. I have posted this before, but I had the pleasure of 2 fantastic double espressos at Zappi's Cafe this afternoon. I can highly recommend this cafe, the coffee is great, the food is very good (try the toasted banana bread!), the decor is cool and the staff are very friendly. If you like good coffee try this. If you like good coffee and a good bike shop thrown in then this will be your idea of heaven! http://www.zappisbikecafe.com/index.html Cheers, Nick.
  7. Ok so like i said before, today I was sent to oxford to do some training in making a flat white. I couldn't believe how much effort goes into making them. I mean even pouring the milk to quickly can ruin it! I managed to make something that resembled a leaf in my second attempt and a long thin love heart shape in my second. So for my first attempts i am very pleased with myself lol, especially considoring i did the best job lol
