  1. Hi, So, I've just put my name and money down for a Niche Zero, might be a bit premature as I have bought an espresso machine yet! The website says December delivery, I messaged and asked if it would be before Xmas and they said it would be - fingers crossed. Best put my order in for the espresso machine now. Given the discussions and current popularity of the Niche would it be worth the admin setting ups Niche forum - just a thought as I don't know how these things work.
  2. All thanks to Joey was a long and arduous task. But all credit to Joey and his hard work, could get any better shots hopeis good enough Thanks again.
  3. Hi guys, I have a 2006 Gaggia Classic. I am looking to buy my first grinder but I’m having difficulty settling on a model. I have about £350 to spend. Ideally I’m looking for a new grinder due to warranty etc. I couldn’t fit a Mazzer etc given my current lack of kitchen space! Up until about a month ago I drank espressos - about 5 doubles a day I think. However, I have recently discovered the joys of pour over coffee so I am thinking about whether I need to be looking for an all purpose grinder rather than an espresso grinder. I do like the eureka specialita and thought I’d settled on this til
  4. Hi all, I currently have a Sage DTP + SGP set-up. Love this forum and have learnt alot on technique, grinders, espresso machines and water (ashbeck at the moment). I think I would like to spend some monies to upgrade my SGP towards a better grinder and get a Niche. Gone through lots of the forum threads, and thought it would be a great affordable step up. I think I'm almost convinced already that it will be better. I guess what I want to know is whether other members have done the same upgrade SGP -> Niche, and have a DTP as well. And how much did the Niche improve your brews
  5. Has anyone else experienced cracking of the wooden 'deck' of their Niche grinder? Mine is away from heat in a dry corner of the kitchen and at least eighteen inches away from my espresso machine. Notwithstanding that, I have noticed a crack at the back. I have now treated the whole wooden area with butchers block wax but the crack remains. I will send the photo to the manufacturer (when I can find an email address!) but wondered whether anyone else had experienced the same or a similar issue. David
  6. Hello from Niche Coffee and thank you for all your comments. We have started this thread to try to answer your questions. This is a completely independent self-financed UK project. Static We have overcome static and grind retention after years of work and development. The grinder has been tested relentlessly over the last year. We consistently only get 0.1g grind retention and have tested this in a wide range of weather conditions. The “how to use” video was shot in one take to evidence this. Burrs We are using hardened steel 63mm conical burrs similar to those used in Mazzer Kon
  7. Anybody seen this grinder due to come out? https://www.nichecoffee.co.uk/ it's advertised on the forum and looks quite different to say the least. It's selling point appears to be zero retention and seems like a grinder built for single dosing (Doesn't have a real hopper?). With 63mm stainless steel conics at an angle running at 330 rpm, what do you guys think? Anyone want to speculate on price?
  8. Going to join the revolution, however I am very impatient, so I was wondering if anyone who has ordered is having second thoughts?
  9. Just received my Niche very impressed how quite is and coffee taste better already.
  10. Have patience and good things will come, had word yesterday that my Brand Spanking Shiny New Niche Coffee Grinder is arriving today, nice surprise as I thought they were coming at the end of January. Anyone else get their message yesterday??
  11. I have a Niche Grinder, a Profitec 600 DB, and an Osmio Zero Reverse Osmosis System. I have had the Profitec 600 since first week in September and have struggled with the texturing of milk, I have tried 4 hole and 2 hole steam wand, steam comes out too powerfully for me, I have used at the last count 10 milk jugs, finally settled on a Blue Motta 350ml milk jug. A couple of days ago after having watched countless Youtube Vids and been through many litres of milk and jugs, something clicked with me and now I am getting reasonable results now, as in my pics. All I can say to Newbies lik
