  1. The Mahlkonig EK43 is a bit of a legend, but there are other vertical burr grinders like the Santos 01 and 04 models. Unlike the usual horizontal burr machines where the grounds come out sideways, the grounds drop down vertically. So handy for an on-demand grinder. I assume this also means less retention since gravity makes the grounds fall. Am I right in thinking this is desirable technology? And if so why are these designs so much the exception?
  2. bought this Mahlkonig EK43 shop grinder 2 years ago used in the kitchen put through around 80Kg or less where would I get the best price if I listed it for sale? anyone know? I bought it brand new for 2200.
  3. Looks like it might have had more beans through it than an aged cowboy, but I cant imagine anyone who'd buy one of theses wouldn't maintain it meticulously. On as a BIN with best offer. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222108488985?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  4. Seems an amazing bargain if you can get to London! https://www.gumtree.com/p/other-kitchen-appliances/ads/1184186631?EDID=OFXMG5N-40AX2V-Y1YODQ-BJ3Y05-A4RXUU-v1&CELLID=7473248&utm_source=savedsearches&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Daily&utm_content=GpB_month
  5. The other day I bought a Probat branded EK43 as kindly pointed out on the spotted section. It would not turn but on removing the section behind the grinding chamber and pulling the rear section out a little (it is restricted by wires) we managed to free it quite easily and it now runs. It is unused but was built in August 2008 and has been stored in its box since. It seems that it probably spent some of that time in a cold garage resulting in a bit of moisture and what seems to be very light corrosion. I've taken a bit of a chance on it but at a price where if it all turns out
  6. Hi, I contacted the seller of this EK43 this morning and asked what they will accept for a straightforward cash on collection sale, they have offered it to me just now for £800 although I imagine £750 might do it if you want to try and offer that for a quick straightforward cash sale. If I didn't feel under the weather I would have gone and got it it just to try before offering it here for whatever i paid but it's not for me today so maybe someone here would like it? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Malhkonig-EK43-Coffee-Grinder/302160826013
  7. We have 1 black EK43 in stock priced at £1649 + VAT Prices for Mahlkonig are going up end of August 2014. Grab a EK43 cheapest you will find in UK!
  8. Hi All Over a week ago we had 2 EK43's listed on the forum at a special price (both sold) not expecting any in until Mid Dec however Mahlkonig have worked hard to get these beautiful grinders to us well before Dec. So to carry the momentum we have decided to keep the price for EK43 T (black version) the same @£1500 + VAT only for forum members. We now have further 2 in stock http://www.coffeeomega.co.uk/Coffee%20Grinders/Mahlkonig/Mahlkonig%20EK43%20T%20Grinder
  9. Hi all. I have an EK43 for sale. Purchased new in January 2015 direct from Mahlkonig's official UK distributor. Fitted with coffee burrs. White colour with original Matt Perger sticker on side. Used fairly regularly but still in good working order. I have replaced the shear plate recently and am selling with a spare shear plate along with original manual. There are a few scratches to the paint work on the front of the grinder casing cover (caused when originally unscrewing the cover to clean the burrs) - cosmetic only. I've included various pictures below. Excellent for espresso and filte
  10. [TABLE=width: 1282, align: center] [TR] [TD]Excellent condition (there is a scratch to the plastic adjustment knob, but nothing that in anyway affects performance. See image). Under 1 year old (MF date November 2015). Has had under 30kg of coffee beans through it total (20kg of that was to season/bed in the burrs. Then under 1kg per month from home use). Burrs are rated for 6,000kg so almost new. Only for sale as I find there's a little more routine required than I'm use to or want to do, but don't get me wrong, when I've managed to do it correctly its excellent, it
  11. Probably no interest in them on here, but I thought as they're going on ebay too it'd be rude not too. Taken out of a brand new EK43 (purchased last month). Other than any testing that they do at Mahlkonig these haven't had 1 coffee bean through them. £350 Price includes Royal Mail special delivery.
