Includes two baskets, Old steam wand, blanking disc for backflush and original spare parts. Stainless milk jug included. Only slight issue is wand leaks a bit but doesn’t effect steam operation. Like new condition apart from slight scuff to upper side where I scraped it. Very minor. No

  8. My v3 will be with me on Wednesday/Thursday and I will need to get myself a tamper and maybe a basket. I would like to get something that is going to last me and not something that I am going to need to upgrade in 6 months. I was thinking of an 18g VST or basket or an IMS. Would I need a 58.4m tamper for these? I am after a knock box too, nothing too big, as I will only be making 4 coffees (max) a day.
  9. Grindenstein Knock Out Box Good Clean Condition £10 inc P&P to mainland uk

  11. Looking for a nice little knockbox to go with my classic, what's folks opinions on the Sage one? thanks
  12. For sale is a used Gaggia base unit with integral knock-box. It's designed to hold a Gaggia espresso machine and Gaggia MDF grinder I think - though others would probably fit if the footprint allows. It's almost entirely made of plastic, in good condition with just a few light scratches here and there really, and has a wooden bar in the knock box. Selling it at £20 plus postage at cost - or feel free to collect from me in Swindon or Reading.

    Knock box

I have this knockbox for sale, bought it from the forum last year. It's far too big for the volume of coffee I run though and it would probably be more appreciated in someone else's home. I'd like £35 plus delivery for it. A few notes about it - the draw, for the most part fits fine but there can be a little play and the bar is, what I think is a rolling pin covered in parcel tape.
  14. having just smashed the rim again on a second plastic kitchen trash bin any recommendations for a good starter knock-box ...link..?....thanks for about 3-4 uses a day
  15. I have a brand new unused knock box, that simple does not fit into my coffee area. Great shame as it is a nice alternative to metal. Hand made in India for The Palm Restaurant with metal cross bar. Hand wash only. Dimensions 10" x 10" / 25cm x 25cm I think over time this will gain a lovely patina. Now Reduced down to £20 + £5 p&p Or swap for some nice flat-white cups!
  16. What is the typical material used in the bar on a Knock Box ??
  17. I've managed to get through over a year of espresso machine ownership without having a knock box or a tamping mat. I'm fed up of dripping coffee across the kitchen while I grab the compost caddy only to find it's full. I want something that isn't too expensive, but won't look too out of place sat on the kitchen work surface. I need a tamping mat too, so something that comes with or incorporates that would be great. So what are my options?
  18. For Sale: Various items See pics below. Will split items but postage would be cheaper if purchased together. Alternatively, collect in person from Southampton SO16. Amazon sell these for £39.99 Looking for £15.00 +pp http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mott
  19. Hi All. Im sorry if this has been discussed but can anyone tell me the in's and outs of roasting your own coffee? Since you buy green beans they will last for over a year (15months) you need never run out of fresh coffee, roasting what you need for the week.( I know you should leave the beens for a number of days before using) I assume it must be cheaper having coffee this way. What machine should be bought? How much is it? Any good articles please? Ken
  20. I need to get a knock-box before the wife notices the dents in the edge of the nice St/steel Brabantia bin, and wondered what everyone else out there is using? I've noticed the cheaper Grindenstein ones come up first in a Google search, but I don't think repeated shock loadings through the ABS sidewalls will give it much longevity. I also think I might prefer a bin type rather than a drawer type, but completely open to suggestions and recommendations. Peter
  21. Hi, Has any one owned or used a Gaggia black plastic base unit with knock box? There is one in a local shop for £35 and I need a knock box., but I'm a little concerned about it being plastic. Thanks.
