Hi all, been an occasional lurker over recent months as I pondered the acquisition of a new pump. I had a gaggia baby class for a few years up until about 4 years ago, whereupon after a house move it sadly died and I wasn't able to organise or afford the repair so off it went into the great cafe in the sky. In the interim I turned to the dark side using a Krups / nescafe pod machine, which was OK, certainly better than instant coffee. Anyway, the natural balance us restored as I've just bought a barely used gaggia classic of a 2006 vintage, and have already ordered the rancilio wand and a pump

Iberital MC5 going for £50 down in London http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ibertal-coffee-grinder-red-/162082597048?hash=item25bce028b8:g:ibYAAOSwzchXRaOr A good deal at £50, they have 59mm flat burrs, a definite step up from the MC2 but have quite a footprint! I'm wondering if there's much of an improvement in the Mazzer Super Jolly over the Iberital MC5. At present I've got an MC5 but a Super Jolly has come up cheap locally. To anybody unaware of the MC5 it's 1300rpm with 60mm flat burrs and a doser but having not used a Super Jolly I'm not sure how to compare! I'm going to guess there wouldn't be much of an improvement and the best option is to wait for a better grinder to come up. Thanks!

I've recently returned to the forums after a bit of time away for about a year. When I left I had a frankly pathetic Krups XP5200 coffee machine and a Krups GVX2 burr grinder... Oh dear. Then I moved onto a Gaggia Cubika with the Krups grinder before upgrading to the Iberital MC5 you see below. Finally and very recently I've upgraded to a Gaggia Classic machine and wow what a difference! As you can see it's the Gaggia Classic Gold. I've got the basic bits to go alongside it, scales, tamper and milk jug as well as my custom patented grinds catcher (a glass ashtray!) and my

Morning all, I acquired a iberital MC5 grinder this week for £30 it required a significant clean and all round tweaking including straightening the burr grounds distribution plate which was mangled. I haven't tested it yet but the burrs look OK. And the motor is in good condition. It had came from a closed cafe during clearance. Has anyone used one? Operating tips or hints? It has an F and G on the adjuster I assume one means fine but not sure of G. Haha.

Cunill / fracino Space Coffee Grinder in good condition. Looks exactly the same as the Iberital MC5, so guessing it is just rebadged. Don't really have much information on this, was bought when I was up north with a machine. Collection from Barbican, London. SOLD
