  1. Hello everyone, I've bought myself a Gaggia coffee a little over a month ago similar to this picture But mine comes with a different steam wand. It has a wand similar to a Rancillo but thinner, with one steam hole. I am finding the flow of steam to be quite irregular and also the milk becomes very hard to clean after using it. I was wondering if anyone knows if this specific model allows for the Rancillo wand mod. Unfortunately due to the name of this model, I am struggling to find any information on it.
  2. Hi Everyone, I do so hope you can help. We have a 5 year old Gaggia Coffee, which we paid a lot of money for but have used maybe a dozen times.... It's always dripped at the portafilter since we bought it, but I let the OH convince me this was normal. Anyway, we decided that the machine needed to be used, so we cleaned it out, used Gaggia descaler etc. (Should we have removed the filter plate and cleaned under there too?) We then set it up for espressos and it now spits very hot coffee absolutely everywhere but into the cups. We've checked the portafilter nozzles, and the rubber crema filter inside and everything looks normal & clean. I think we need a new portafilter but OH disagrees. This is £400 worth of machine going to waste, and it's enough to try the patience of a saint. Please, can anyone help? Thanks Jules
  3. Hey! My Gaggia Coffee had been stowed away for a bit and when i got it back up it started leaking all over the place. I assumed it was the gasket, so i went ahead and changed it. Turns out it was not the gasket as it is still leaking. The leakage is coming from above where the gasket sits, i.e. the coffeegrounds dont even get wet as no water goes into there. I have attached a photo to show where the leakage is coming from: As you can see, the water is spilling from above the metal ring which has the gasket inside. So, any idea on how to fix it? Thanks in advance, and sorry if my post is a bit messy.
  4. Looks as thou it's a Gaggia Coffee? Has euro plug on it but if you need parts £10 will buy them! Switch bank is worth that on its own. https://www.gumtree.com/p/other-home-appliances/gaggia-coffee-machine-for-spares./1159201656
  5. Hi Guys, Currently using a Gaggia Coffee, same as the Classic minus solenoid valve. After much research I have shortlisted to Expobar machines: Leva Dual Boiler & Office Leva HX. I make about 4 cappuccinos & 6 espressos per week, but suspect with the new machine this will increase. Yes I have got a decent mini Mazzer Grinder sorted. I know the Leva DB is very controllable & inc a PID but I understand that de-scaling the brew boiler is a nightmare. The Leva HX is easy in this respect. I intend to purchase from BB because of their back up & expertise. As I am new to the world of prosumer machines, any advice from experienced Expobar users would be most appreciated. Thanks
  6. Hello All, This is my first time post, I've recently inherited a coffee deluxe and whilst doing some maintenance I was over enthusiastic with the bolt for the group outlet valve. It sheared right off, luckily I managed to get the old one out. What can I do now? Is there anywhere that sells spares? Thanks Jamie
  7. Saw this on eBay a couple of weeks back and duly purchased it: Received it this week and it's mint! May 1995 vintage. It's lovely, being the same chassis of a classic it'll be rude not to convert it to full Gaggia Classic internals just for the hell of it really. Got this machine as a donor:- Bit bruised but internally sound. This is machine unpacked etc: Started stripping it this morning, didn't take long. Decided to give it a bath to clean it up too.
  8. My 3 year old Gaggia Coffee, which has recently been descaled and cleaned, has suddenly started producing coffee very slowly. Also the pump seems to make a laboured noise. Is there anything I can check or does it need sending away? Cheers Dave

  10. Hi guys and gals, hope someone can help. I've had a Gaggia Coffee for about 2 1/2 years and have gradually learnt how to make reasonably decent coffee. However, every time before I use the machine, I have to prime the pump which is annoying and I wonder if there's a way to stop having to do this? Also, I find that the first cup I brew never has the crema on the top, but the second and subsequent ones do. So I just run with an empty portafilter and do a 'pretend' cup and then put the ground coffee in and the next one has the crema. Again, this is annoying and I wonder if there's a way to stop having to do this? Thanks in advance Dave
  11. As title. I have a coffee gaggia and wondered if its possible to mod it to adjust the brew pressure. I know it doesnt have an OPV but wondered what my options were! Thanks in advance
