  1. Hi All I have been finally measuring my pressure on my Rancilio Espresso Machine, which was reading around 10 to 11 bar and have adjusted it to around 8.5 bar. Seems to be extracting a bit better now. I find however now, when trying to froth milk, it is still very liquid and not frothy enough, yet has reached it's temperature during frothing. Anything to do with the pressure on this? Any ideas how I can improve this? It has the single hole nozzle. Thanks
  2. Hello All, Im new here and would like to start by thanking all of you for your contributions since it made a great source of info for me. Finally I bought a Gaggia baby twin (a month ago) and I am still in let's say my pratice era. Trying to pull better espresso shots and steam some good creamy milk. I noticed that I am always having some water going thru the steam wand. I am following the instructions given on how to bleed and get the steaming process started but no luck. I am not sure if it's the machine fault or it's me being paranoid. Now it's been couple days I am just tryi
  3. Guys, Just splashed out on a Delonghi 3200s. The coffee it produces is fantastic. HOWEVER, I really want to be able to produce milk that will produce lovely latte's and lovely art. Has anyone managed to use this machine to produce lovely milk? I really cannot seem to use this to produce silky smooth milk. It just seems to froth up far too much. Can anyone help? What am I doing wrong? Gavin
  4. I have recently bought a Bezzera BZ02 with a four-hole steam wand. After quite a bit of practice I can now make a reasonable job of steaming the milk with this but can't get the really fine microfoam I'm after. Is it worth persevering with this steam wand or should I change it to another? If I need to change it could I convert this one to a two-hole wand? I've heard that some people push cocktail sticks into two of the holes - not a great solution but is there a better, more hygienic way to do this?
  5. Most of the information I have read for frothing milk seems to involve two stages – stretching and then incorporating the stretched milk to make a micro-foam. I was intrigued to see a video ( about 1 minute in) on YouTube where the barista didn’t seem to do anything other than place the steam wand in the jug of milk (albeit he seemed to place it carefully), switch on and leave it alone to get on with it. This appeared to produce perfect results without any further intervention. My limited attempts to reproduce this have not been successful so far. Has anyone else had success with this me
