  1. I have recently bought a second hand gaggia classic (2014). I have bought a new Rancilio Silvia V1 &V2 steam want to fit, however when I’ve go to fit it,the original wand/arm is just clicked in with a plastic fitting, there is no hit holding it it. The steam works ok, but when I’ve gone to put the original wand/arm back in it doesn’t appear to be frothing the milk very well any more. Could anyone help me? Am I missing a nut? Thanks
  2. Yesterday, I bought a manual milk frother/creamer which works well when filled with milk. But as I am the only coffee drinker in the family, the amount I use is very small. I'm wondering therefore if any of our Experts can answer two questions or advise? 1. Can I froth the milk with a larger quantity at first, then heat my required amount and put the remainder back in the milk jug for later use? Or heat the milk first before frothing it? 2. As teenager's, I remember we used to shake some milk in a small bottle to turn it into cream. If that is still possible, I would happily float
  3. Hi there we have had this coffee machine for a number of years, a while back the milk froth are stopped working and water pours through that space when we descale, which we have managed to live with (perhaps we should’ve fixed it?) Anyway now the display is playing up, sometimes it will make a cup of coffee, sometimes it stops halfway through and goes blank, sometimes the light comes on on the display and then goes back off intermittently. I’m hoping I can fix this somehow but looking on YouTube clips and other forums I can’t find the information. Does anybody have any suggestions? Fingers c
  4. Hello folks, I was just about to purchase a Cherub at the end of this week but have had some unexpected outlay I have a Jura C5 and just can't get anything like even a half decent foam. I have the standard frother and the Pro frother but have had no success with either. I'm using them as a steam wand, not as a venturi system where it draws the milk from a container and mixes it with the steam. Am I chasing rainbows? Cheers for any help, no matter how small. Phil
  5. Anybody know of a good milk frother that isn't too expensive? I'm not looking for a steamer as that seems to require more maintenance.
  6. we have a Sage Bambino - bought about 8 weeks ago - everything was working fine, but now the milk wand appears to have lost the ability to stop heating/frothing. We have cleaned it, purged of hot water, but it still has this issue where it can't stop the heating/frothing process. I have even lowered the temp and the froth capacity but this has not sorted it. I have called Sage and they have no clue, suggested sorting out a replacement (this will be the second machine as hte first one wouldn't even start - so as you can imagine I am losing faith in this brand/machine rapidly) Anyone
  7. Hi, I have just bought a Delonghi scultura ECZ351 coffee machine, up to now it’s not been going too bad with limited knowledge of using these machines, i had a tassimo prior. I have 2 different coffees for it at the moment which is starbucks house blend and Illy coffee medium ground. A couple of basic questions i have is: If i want to make the coffee stronger would i be best changing the filter holder to the 2 cup one that you can add 2 scoops of coffee into, as i cannot see any other way to change the strength or flow of coffee, i have tried pressing down harder on the ta
  8. When frothing milk with the frother the nozzle keeps shooting off into the milk jug leaving me with steam coming out of the metal bit! I have not got the steam coming out very fast as this seems to be dangerous to me but it still happens. Has anyone got any ideas as to what is causing this and how I can fix it? Thanks!
  9. I've just started trying to make flat whites at home but can't get the milk correct? the frother I use has the air spout too which I beleive is letting too much air get in,so the milk is far too frothy with big air bubbles, not smooth as flat whites should be,I've tried blocking the air hole but then the stream just heats the milk and no froth at all,not sure if I need a new frother machine or if I'm doing something wrong? any help would be great.
