  1. I bought this around 4 years ago when Ian had to tamp while I was waiting for my shoulder to heal. I am unlikely to need it again so here it is for sale. It's in good condition. The handle isn't worn and the metal is pretty much as it was when new. £40 plus £4 postage. I am not really interested in offers unless it doesn't sell in the next couple of weeks. As with my other sales a donation will be made to the forum upon completion.
  2. In excellent condition, only had light use. £50 inc P&P
  3. Hi there, Selling: - Barely used Espro press (I bought a Rocket espresso machine and so the Espro is just taking up space). Bought in April 2015. - Fairly used Hario Skerton grinder, in great shape. I'll be in London from May 13th to 20th, so ideally these would be picked up during this window, from Gloucester Road or Liverpool St. station. Otherwise after May 20th from Gloucester Road. Cheers!
  4. Hi everyone, I am thinking of buying the Asceso pre-tension tamper which is featured on My Expresso website. Its a bit on the expensive side at £70 odd but isn't this coffee obsession going that way!!! Anyway, any advice from anyone is much appreciated.
  5. I've just noticed Whittards are now stocking a bunch of new-to-them, coffee brewing equipment including the Wilfa Grinder, Stagg and Brewista Kettles, Cafflano and Espro presses. It might help some people who like to see the bits and bobs before purchasing. https://www.whittard.co.uk/equipment/coffee-equipment/all-coffee-equipment
  6. Having a clear out of my coffee cabinet of stuff that I never use. All prices include postage within the UK and payments should be made through paypal. No offers as I feel that they are all fairly priced. Thanks Espro Toroid Jug with dimpled bottom (original one) £15 Cafelat Dregs Tub in Red (hardly used) £15 Bottomless portafilter for E61 fitting (no basket) £12 Bestcup M Water Filter Standard PN-KS34100 £10 (this came with my Londinium R but has never been needed) Also - not coffee related but good to watch whilst enjoying a favourite cup - a couple of brand new and still sealed DVD's that we got through Sky but have never opened as we watch films on the Sky Q box or Sky Go Finding Dory & Baby Boss £12 for both
  7. espro calibrated 58mm convex base tamper for sale on ebay £49.99 fantastic condition. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=122243626496
  8. I am new to the world of coffee, and still looking to buy a grinder (hopefully a Mazzer Mini) and a machine (probably am HX machine, due to the amount of Americanos I will be making at home!), and am interested in a calibrated tamper to ensure the pressure I apply is consistent. I have seen Espro do a nice one, but am amazed at how expensive they are. Is anyone aware of any decent calibrated tampers that come in under £50 ?
  9. You can view the page at http://coffeeforums.co.uk/content.php?224-Espro-turns-to-Kickstarter-to-launch-its-newest-product
  10. Time for a new tamper, my home manufactured one is great but doesn`t fit my la marzocca basket (slightly too big) and I cannot get easy access to the machine shop to make another at the moment. So do I Get sensible and buy the Happy Donkey budget one that looks very like a Reg Barber. Get a Concept Art one from Drury with the interchangeable handles and pistons Get a proper Reg Barber Go techie and get an Espro Decisions, decisions
  11. Has been really useful to help me learn pressure but selling as simply no longer use. Great condition with only slight marks as per photos. Full specifications here: http://espro.ca/tamper/ Looking for £45 delivered. Cheers, Steve
  12. Here we go. And a flat white I just made. I hope to learn how to do latte art one day.

    Espro Tamper 58mm

Im looking for an Espro Tamper 58mm Ideally flat if anyone now is thinking of parting with theres?
  14. I've got a 58.35 flat Espro tamper - imported from the US as no-one in the UK stocks the 58.35mm. I got it at around the same time I got my first Torr, and haven't really used it since (I'd been using a standard 58mm black handled one for some years so the 'muscle memory' was pretty much sorted!) It's boxed, new (I think I used it once to check it was OK, and see how the fit in a VST was!). It's gathered dust since. Yours for £75 plus postage at cost. Not cheap, I know, but not too bothered about selling it (I'd keep it rather than let it go for stupid money) and you simply can't get them here (to my knowledge) at a 'normal' Espro price (which is still quite a bit more than this). 15. Hi everyone, Have you ever tried Espro Press? What do you think about the results? As far as I know, it can also be used with paper filters. So, I am curious about that what wil happen if I use it with Chemex/V60's paper filters(after the sizes adjusted)? I have read that it ends up as a very clear cup of coffee. I ask that mainly because as I said before my manuel grinder is not good enough so I want to decide which one will be better choice for me? Espro Press with Chemex/V60 filter or directly V60/Kalita.. Thank you.
  16. Hi all black espro click tamper 58mm as photos show in good condition few light scratches to the base. Served me well when finding my tamping pressure. £40 + postage
  17. Want to sell my Espro 58mm calibrated tamper, black handle, flat base. It is great when you are looking to refine your technique and enables you to take one variable out of the equation. I will sell for £50 including postage and packing. The base has some small nicks and scuffs from normal usage but nothing untoward which would impact your puck.
  18. With my milk! About twice I've got milk perfect, but then I can never do it again, even if I do exactly the same thing. Ive got temp tags, a thermometer and a 20 oz jug and I've just also bought an espro toroid 20 oz jug to see if that helped but I still can't get it right. The main problem is I don't get any proper microfoam until the very last few ml of milk at the end of the jug, by which time the cup is full and there isn't enough milk foam to even attempt latte art, I just end up with a dribble of white foam on top. With the toroid, I tried just sticking the wand in the middle about half way down.. That didn't work, so I tried the usual way with the tip just above the surface for a while and then in the centre, that didn't work.. I tried the usual tip above the surface for the whole process and that didn't work... I'm using whole milk and the rancilio wand, and I know I can do it, as I have before, just why can't I do it consistently?
  19. Assuming I want to follow general advice, and I do, and wish to tamp to 30lbs how do i measure guesstimate this or am I being thick again Gaz
  20. I hope that I'm not raising this at an insensitive time, given the comp that's currently running, but I'm ready to buy a new tamper, and I'm on the lookout for opinions and advice. I currently have an Espro pre-tensioned - which is great, but which I've always regarded as a training tool, and I now feel ready to move on to a big boys' tamper. But what to buy? I'm looking longingly at Reg Barbers - but am I just being sucked into hype? I like the idea of a C-Ripple base - curved at the edges, flat in the middle, but with concentric circles embossed onto the flat bit. I like the physics behind both the partial curve and the concentric circles. Only trouble is that they don't seem available in the UK. That doesn't bother me too much, as I like the idea of ordering direct and having it customised with my name or initials on the top. I can live with the price for that - except that the carriage from Canada is over $50 - and I'm drawing the line at that until I've done some more research. So I'm looking for advice and/or opinions. Are RBs as good as their reputation? Anyone got any experience of the C-Ripple? Anyone got any alternatives? The tamper that's the prize in the comp looks good - and can be laser engraved to customise. I wonder how the finish compares to RBs? Any help appreciated.
  21. For sale ESPRO Toroid milk pitchers minus original box. I have one 12oz and one 20oz pitcher that have been barely used and are in excellent condition. These pitchers are beautifully designed and solidly constructed with a fantastic feel in your hand. Pictures attached, sorry if they appear sideways .. :/ I believe most of you will know about these pitchers and how ridiculously easy it is to produce good quality microfoam, but if not please check out the link: http://espro.ca/toroid/ Its main advantages being: READY - AIM - FIRE - Perfected milk flows are created by the unique shape, which includes a simple bump in the centre and the unique wall shape. Aim at it for a perfect toroidal (donut-shaped) milk flow. Aim beside it for a perfect vortex. Steaming as easy as ready - aim - fire. FEEDBACK THAT IS EASY TO SEE - Looking down into the steaming pitcher, you can see an even flow of milk coming up all sides of the pitcher. Easy to see. Easy to teach. Easy to achieve consistent microfoam! HARNESS ALL THE STEAM YOU HAVE - Not all machines have a ton of steam! The pitcher's patent pending shape amplifies your steam, efficiently directing the milk flow along the walls and back to the steam tip. Perfect milk flow is achieved by design, not by chance. Prices including postage to UK: 12oz: £16 [sOLD to Deejaysuave] 20oz: £20 [sOLD to Gadgetz] Any questions, fire away. Christos
