  1. Hi, so I’m thinking of going second hand as I’m on a limited budget of £250 (will stretch a little further if it’s amazing) I want something that makes the espresso in my gaggia classic in my budget(I’m a novice so all the gear and no idea at the moment anyway) i have had had a look through the forums and the Mazzers keep coming up I would really appreciate some help whittling down the choices or any new ideas! Apologies for asking a question that I’m sore has been answered 1000 times I’ve already made the mistake of buying wrong once and don’t want to repeat. Thanks matt
  2. Hey all. New to this forum, lurked for a while, then finally bit the bullet and joined now I've just purchased a Gaggia Classic. I now need a grinder... I'm thinking of a Mazzer Super Jolly at this stage, though all other suggestions welcome. Thanks, Tobie.
  3. Hi Folks, After spending the last 12 years using and promoting the Mazzer professional espresso grinders in our business and to our customers, I'm considering venturing outside my comfort zone and taking a look at the Anfim traditional and on demand espresso grinders. What would be helpful is if anyone could let me know who has worked with this brand of espresso grinder and what their experience has been? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Hi all, Apologies for digging up what's probably been answered many a time, but I need a decent espresso grinder for a take-away stall and I'm a bit confused as to what might be the best option - I've got around £150-400 to spend and am happy to buy used. It'll be for espresso only as I have one of those massive, ugly bunn filter grinders. The smaller form factor's of the Eureka & Vario would actually be quite useful, but It's going to be used on an outdoor cart and probably get bashed around quite a bit, so needs to be strong enough to cope. It will also be doing around 50-100 shots a day and I'm not sure if the prosumer grinders would really be up to that or not? Also I'm London based if any of you have any bargains for sale Cheers! Cal
  5. Hi folks, I'm potentially looking to upgrade my espresso grinder. I currently have a Vario home. I'm tempted to move it to filter duty if an upgrade for espresso in the cup is available for 400 quid or so. The Vario has had a few grind setting slips on lighter roast beans the last few weeks. This has made me think maybe an espresso grinder with a more robust grind setting adjuster might be my future. A mignon is approx vario home level and at about 300 quid. Compak k3 comes in at 400 quid (but with less word of mouth buzz it seems) Second hand from here could be an option too. In short, what grinders could/should I be looking at for 400 quid?
  6. Bought originally in April 2016 from Coffee Tasting Club. Comes in original box and original receipt can be provided if requested. Obviously prefer collection from Lymington/Bournemouth/Poole but can post at buyers cost. Offers on £90 Also advertised for sale on eBay so may end early if sold.
  7. Ok budget of £200. I previously had a Vario which was a brilliant grinder but I probably under-used it - I only used one of the pre-settings on it. Would a Rocky be considered a step backwards?
  8. Hi, I'm selling my trusty coffee grinder, a Compak K3 Touch. I have only owned it for about 4 months, and I bought it second hand from a place called Wogan Coffee in Bristol, so it was a trusted place where all of their appliances are checked and in top condition. This is an absolutely fantastic grinder which can easily from filter all the way to very fine espresso grind, I'm simply selling because it is above my needs - I mostly make filter coffee. I personally have only put around 5-10kg of beans through it, so it really hasn't seen a huge amount of use. I have always cleaned this grinder and looked after it after each use, and it has served me incredibly well. I am after £100. I would prefer pickup from Bristol, in the BS6 area. I'm not totally against posting but it may take me a little while as I'm quite busy. Don't hesitate to ask me if you have any questions. Rory
