Only at £41 at the moment with 2 hours to go:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Santos-type-4-Commercial-coffee-grinder-/272264097891?hash=item3f64347063:g:Nz0AAOSwvg9XUzmJ I believe it's a 64mm flat burr machine, but don't quote me on it! Parts aren't readily available as per Mazzers but still a bargain under £100 posted I reckon..
  9. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ceado-coffee-grinder-comercial-on-off-used-/262404001930? Looks to be either an E7, E8, E9. I've asked for more details and directed the seller to the Ceado page to help him out with narrowing it down.
  10. Apologies for flooding this forum with noob questions but................ My budget for a machine is small and it seems that getting hold of a reconditioned classic is like getting hold of rocking horse doo doo Ebay seems to have gone mad on prices and im also a bit worried about buying an ebay machine only to have to spend another £100 getting it serviced or something. So the options are 1. Hold out for a recon classic 2. buy a recon coffee (£130 ish) 3. buy a new cubika (have seen one new for £125) 4. just say bollards to it all and buy a new classic (but i didnt really want to spend that much) im aware that the classic has a solenoid valve, how much of a difference does this actually make? does either of the 3 machines actually produce better coffee than the others? P.S I know the grinder is the most important thing but that is sorted.
  11. Hi all Searching on eBay and I found this thermometer click me it looks the business and the price is good (very important) just wanted a second opinion on whether or not you think it would be ok for measuring my water temp? Cheers HLA91
  12. My brother has just bought a Gaggia Baby on eBay, listed as faulty with the view to me fitting him some new seals, descaling it and (hopefully) sorting out the fault. Model in question: It's early days as we only just won the auction and won't get the item until mid next week at the earliest. Just wondering what way to go with it, the seller has said that it heats up yet no water will go through the grouphead, no details about the steam wand unfortunately. Just wondering if there are early pointers before I take it apart? I'm looking forward to getting my hands dirty again and hopefully getting it working.
  13. I'll be adding a lot more stuff to The Coffee Bean's Ebay store over the coming week or so! Keep an eye on it - I'm sure there will be a few bits and bobs on there that you will be interested in!! http://stores.ebay.co.uk/The-Coffee-Bean-Shop?_rdc=1 Anything that's not there yet - give me a shout and I'll be happy to find whatever you are looking for! Andy
  14. Just saw this. First thing that popped into my head was 'snowman'.... maybe due to time of the year.... My second thought was how the hell do you use it... Further info on ebay if you search "La Sorrentina"
  15. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gaggia-Coffee-Machine-And-DeLonghi-Coffee-Grinder-/262047061870?hash=item3d0338d76e I think if you offer a bit less he will still take it
  16. A few weeks ago I sold a Brasilia RR45 on ebay. I clearly listed the grinder as ideally suited for single dosing in a home environment, but also suited for a commercial use. The grinder was bought by a guy in Hull that turned out to own a small fish & chips and intended to use the grinder in his restaurant. My only fault is that I forgot to include the doser metal plate, I totally forgot it because I never used it. When he told me, I sent it to him two days later. Apparently the envelope was very weak, and when the enveloped arrived it was empty. I assume that the metal plate made its way out of the envelope due to the movement inside the envelope, as I did not protect it. I have been trying to get a new plate since he let me know last Thursday (including a post in the wanted section). I told him immediately on my last email that I was trying to get one. This was his reply yesterday: You **** you know what you have done and if you don't repay my cost of a new part I will report you and I will see it through. I'm £60 down. Pay me £60 and I will let it go. I don’t know what to do, and I haven’t replied yet. What should I do and how should I reply? Thanks Language removed - risky
  17. Here's the link - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENIE-CAFE-COFFEE-BEAN-ROASTER-/290882409889?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Food_SM&hash=item43b9f155a1&ssPageName=RSS:B:SHOP:GB:101 Might turn out to be a bargain even though there is a reserve price.
  18. Bought a brand new Sage DB from a single trader on Ebay, nothing wrong with the machine, registered it ok and got the White Glove service from Sage/Coffee Hit after sending proof of purchase, things going great until the De-scale are on, so I de-scaled it as per book, came out of the Descale menu and the De-scale warning comes on every time I turn the machine on until it reaches temperature then it goes off, repeated the process, same results, so decided to contact Sage Support. This is when things started going wrong, I told them my problem, they gave me a few suggestions, all of which did not work, so they told me they would send an engineer out to have a look at it, I was to email them my proof of purchase, I told them that I had already done this when I applied for the Whit Glove Service, anyway they wanted me to resend it so I did, I then called them and was told that my Warranty was not valid as I had not bought the Dual Boiler from an approved supplier, I had bought it from a single trader from Ebay so that invalidated my warranty. I was fuming with this, I checked their 2 year warranty on the Dual Boiler and no where does it say that it has to be purchased from an Approved seller. Does anyone have any views or advice for me or has anyone else come across this problem before, I have contacted Citizens Advice, just waiting for a reply from them so thought I would post it on here, just one last thing the machine was Brand New, was sold as New so as it has now become faulty does anyone know if I have any come back on the Seller on Ebay? Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated.
  19. This is just the weirdest thing I have read for a long time on Ebay 1. Fill in the pressure, make delicious coffee, and give each cup a consistent taste, presenting it to the consumers. Increase the quality stability and enhance brand awareness. 2. Increase the professional degree of coffee, and "haagen-dazs" ice cream has the same equipment. 3. Increase the competitiveness of the industry, increase the turnover of coffee, and recover the investment cost of coffee machine equipment at an early date. 4. Convenient coffee chain stores, customized standard amount SOP. In the case of constant quality, it is easy for semi-automatic baristas to become automatic coffee machines. 5. In an environment where employees are difficult to find, it is easy to get people to train. 6. The cost of staff can be reduced, and the coffee technician has a high salary and liquidity. 7. Food grade stainless steel material SUS304, solid and durable. 8. The standard filling pressure gauge for beginners of semi-automatic coffee machine. 9. The professional semi-automatic coffee machine installation and debugging machine personnel good helper. 10. Suitable for the use of coffee training schools, helping students to learn quickly.
  20. I have a Mazzer Super Jolly grinder. I'm attempting to modify it by adapting the doser using a 250ml cocktail shaker, as many others have done. I ordered the cocktail shaker from a Chinese supplier on eBay yesterday for £3.58. A few hours later I received a message from the supplier via eBay that the item was faulty and did I want a refund instead of them dispatching anything. I haven't replied yet. I am perhaps being over cautious and cynical, but wonder if this is the start of a scam and they may try to get personal details from me, which of course I won't provide. I haven't yet replied. I am tempted to reply that I want a refund, but on the other hand, if I don't reply they should provide a refund anyway. But I suppose there is no harm replying through eBay providing I don't give any further personal information? Has anyone had a similar experience? If I reply via eBay saying that I want a refund, should they be able to provide this via eBay without my having to provide any further information? I paid using PayPal. Thank you.
  21. Gaggia Tebe on eBay starting at £25. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262790600435?_trksid=p2055119 For those that don't know, the Tebe has the same important bits as the Classic, wrapped in a different body. It doesn't have the cup warmer or stainless case of the Classic, but it may suit someone starting out who is on a budget.
  22. Saw this one eBay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291963246287 Would love to own one of these but cannot afford it at present. Price seems reasonable and it looks clean. Others on here are probably better placed to tell whether it is a good deal or not (@dfk41 @coffeechap)
  23. 182355158264 Doesnt look in bad condition considering it's been used daily in a cafe. New burrs it'll be fine. 2011 model
