  1. Yesterday I descaled (Puly descaler) and backflushed (Puly cleaner) my Gaggia Classic (2014). It was working fine and this was just a regular maintenance. Now, when the unit is turned on, water drips from the showerscreen about one big drip per second. If I put the blank disk in the porterfilter, the drip comes out of the backflush drip pipe thing at about the same speed. I have tried backflushing it again many times with cleaner and water, it seems to be fine - nice strong sound, spurt of water out of the pipe. However, the unit still drips, I cannot leave it on for any length of ti
  2. This afternoon I noticed quite a bit of water under my Ariete and opened it up to find that this is coming from somewhere it shouldn't be. I've previously spotted small amounts water under the machine, but just assumed that it was overspill from the drip tray or something, but now I'm thinking this has been happening for a while and is just getting worse. The machine is around 18 months old, so not exactly delighted to have found this, but I guess these things do happen. So, any advise on how/what to fix? Just a case of something a bit on the loose side, or something more sinis
  3. Hey All, Been a while as I've now got a 3 month year old boy! I've managed to grab some time to make some more coffee I feel like I've forgotten half of what i learnt as i can't seem to get the nice milk to do latte art any more but ill be making as many coffees as possible to get back on track. One thing I've had for some time even before the little one was born was some water dripping from the group during extraction. The would drips over the portafilter and goes into the coffee which is driving me insane. I have replaced the shower screen and gasket but nothing has
  4. Hey guys, I notice a little problem couple days ago when i saw a pool of water at the bottom of my machine to the left. 1st i thought i was spilling water when filling up, but then I fill up from right side of the tank but water is coming from the left side. So this morning I laid down a sheet of kitchen roll to see if its dripping and after 3 coffees I noticed a pool of water to the left and underneath the machine again. So I unplugged the PID controller and water was dripping outside the controllers connector. There is sort of a gap between connector and machine. So my question does any
  5. Hi, I bought a V3 in the week. At the moment, when I brew a shot, water drips out from the portafilter, underneath the spouts etc, as well as going through the puck to make a shot. I have a SJ and it's a very fine grind, past '1' going onto '0'. Could this be the cause? I plan to dial back and see how it goes later on, but any help at the moment would be appreciated!
  6. Hi guys, I've been rebooting my Rancilio Silvia V1 of late, as it had some problems. Most are resolved but now I've encountered a new one; the espresso is not flowing, only dripping through. It starts with a tiny flow and after 5 seconds in, it stops providing espresso. The situation is as follows: Last few days I've replaced the shower screen, group head gasket and the steam wand gaskets. Moreover, I've backflushed the machine. I then poured some espresso's and the flow was fine. Then, I descaled the machine and since then, I have the problem as described above. However, I do r
  7. Hi guys, I've just bought a 2009 baby class from a reputable auction site After a good clean and descale & flush through I started using it. Upon reading the manual it says about a self priming system, I'd have thought this means a pulse from the pump to get water upto the head??? Secondly, the first few times I used the machine, the no-drip system which momentarily sucks air up through the basket when you stop the dispence worked, now the sucking has stopped! All help much appriciated, also spoken to "Phillips" who say I'm to call NESN if the machine is still under warranty
  8. As most of you will know, I have had my Rancilio Silvia for about two weeks now. The one thing I have noticed is that sometimes I get a small pool of water which has leaked from the steam wand when I first turn my machine on. At first, I thought it might be because the steam knob was not closed properly but I now when I put the machine on, I place some kitchen towelling underneath it to catch the drips. Is this normal and do other people experience similar experiences? I don't see it as a huge problem but just wondering?
